Dance Class Terms & Conditions
1. Enrolment and Commitment
By enrolling a child in classes with Francesca Jandrell Dance Company, parents/carers are reserving a place for the entire term.
All bookings are made on a termly basis and create a commitment to pay the full term fee.
Parents/carers may choose to:
- Pay the full term fee in a single payment; or
- Spread the cost of the term fee through an agreed instalment plan.
The method of payment does not affect the commitment to the full term. A place is reserved for the duration of the term and fees remain payable regardless of attendance.
2. Payment in Full
Where the full term fee is paid at the time of booking:
- The payment secures the student's place for the entire term.
- Fees are non-refundable once the term has commenced.
- No refunds, credits or partial refunds will be given if a student chooses to withdraw, reduces attendance, or is unable to attend classes for any reason after the start of term.
Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the sole discretion of the Principal.
3. Payment by Instalments
Where payment is made by instalments:
- The instalment plan is a method of spreading the cost of the full term fee.
- It is not a monthly membership or pay-as-you-go arrangement.
- Enrolment constitutes a commitment to pay the full term fee.
- Any remaining instalments remain payable even if the student stops attending before the end of the term.
Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the sole discretion of the Principal.
4. Missed Classes
No refunds, credits or reductions will be given for:
- Absence due to illness
- Holidays
- Family commitments
- School activities
- Other personal circumstances
Where possible, students may be offered an alternative class at the Principal's discretion, subject to availability.
5. Withdrawal During a Term
If a student withdraws after the term has commenced, any remaining instalments for that term will remain payable.
This is because a place has been reserved and staffing, venue and operational costs have been committed based on enrolment numbers.
6. Cancellation by the Dance School
Should a class be cancelled by Francesca Jandrell Dance Company for reasons within our control, a suitable replacement class, credit or refund will be offered.
No refund will be offered where classes cannot take place due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, venue closures, public health restrictions or other force majeure events. Alternative arrangements will be provided where reasonably possible.
7. Late or Failed Payments
Where a payment fails or remains outstanding:
- Parents/carers will be notified.
- Access to classes may be suspended until payments are brought up to date.
- The dance school reserves the right to recover outstanding fees.
- Any charges incurred from failed payments or payment disputes may be passed on to the account holder where legally permitted.
8. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
Parents/carers agree to contact the dance school directly regarding any payment queries before initiating a chargeback, bank dispute, Klarna dispute or other payment reversal.
Where a payment dispute is raised and subsequently resolved in favour of the dance school, the parent/carer remains responsible for any outstanding fees and any administration costs incurred.
9. Notice for Future Terms
To cancel a place for the following term, written notice must be provided before the booking deadline for the next term.
Failure to provide notice may result in the place being automatically rebooked where this has been clearly communicated in advance.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By completing a booking and/or selecting a payment plan, parents/carers confirm that they:
- Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
- Agree to commit to the full term of classes.
- Understand that instalments are a payment arrangement only and do not represent monthly membership.
- Accept responsibility for payment of the full term fee.
Important Summary
When you choose to pay monthly, you are not paying for one month at a time. You are agreeing to purchase the full term and spreading the cost over three instalments. Any remaining instalments remain payable even if the student stops attending during the term.
